About The Festival
The Asbury Park Reggae Festival exists because a group of musicians decided to build something together.
No major corporate sponsors.
No large entertainment company.
No big production budget.
Just artists, friends, and community members who believe that reggae music deserves a home on the Jersey Shore.
What began as an idea shared between local bands became a reality when four independent reggae artists came together and created an event that celebrated the music, culture, and positive spirit that reggae has always represented. The response from the community was immediate. Families, music lovers, longtime reggae fans, and curious newcomers gathered together to share a day of live music, good energy, and genuine connection.
That spirit remains at the heart of everything we do.
More Than A Music Festival

Reggae has always been about more than entertainment.
It is music rooted in community, unity, resilience, and positive change. Those values are reflected in the culture surrounding the festival and in the people who attend it.
The Asbury Park Reggae Festival is a place where people from different backgrounds come together through a shared love of music. It is a day where local artists, small businesses, vendors, families, and visitors can connect in an atmosphere built on respect, creativity, and good vibrations.
Whether you’re a lifelong reggae fan or hearing these rhythms for the first time, you’re welcome here.
Built By Musicians

One of the things that makes this festival unique is that it is created by the artists themselves.
The musicians performing on this stage are not backed by major labels or large corporate organizations. They are independent artists who have spent years building audiences one show at a time, supporting local venues, and helping keep live music alive in our communities.
The festival is organized, promoted, and supported by people who genuinely care about reggae culture and the future of live independent music.
That grassroots approach allows us to stay true to our mission while creating an event that feels authentic, welcoming, and community-driven.
Looking Forward

Our goal is simple:
To create an annual celebration of reggae music that continues to grow while remaining accessible to everyone.
We want to provide opportunities for artists, bring people together, and contribute something positive to the cultural landscape of Asbury Park.
Most importantly, we want to keep the music playing.
Every person who attends, shares a post, tells a friend, volunteers, performs, vendors, or supports the festival becomes part of that mission.
Thank you for helping make the Asbury Park Reggae Festival possible.
We look forward to celebrating with you.
One Love.
